thank you for joining us. ms. gee, could you briefly recount what the texas judge said about the affordable care act and your thinking on the judgment? guest: last friday, the entire aca was ruled unconstitutional because in 2017, congress passed a tax bill that included a provision that the aca individual mandate would be reduced to zero. this essentially took the heart out of the mandate. no other legislation was passed other than that in the tax bill. because of this thing that congressman pointed, the judge decided that renders the aca unconstitutional. this is a judgment in a case brought by the plaintiff that numerous scholars on the right and left have called absurd. guest: for context, go back to early days. 2008, 2010 era of the aca debates. remember this idea of the three legged stool. the aca had the three pillars, the mandate, without the pillars, the stool falls over. that is the concept behind the case. as emily says, i do not know i have heard anyone showing su
