POTSDAM The town board increased the highway rehabilitation and repair budget with additional state funding expected this year for local road work. The board also has approved planned repairs to several town roads.
At its meeting Tuesday, May 18, the board increased the road repair budget from $352,821 to $643,515,24.
According to a resolution passed by the town board Tuesday, the state Department of Transportation has released the final funding amounts for the year to the municipality for road repair. The town has received $434,219.50 in state CHIPS funding for highway repair, $112,798.29 in PAVE NY funding and $96,497.45 in state Emergency Weather Repair funding, the resolution said. ....
