And we have elevated fire danger a red flag warning for high fire danger goes into effect at 10 00 tonight. That will be in effect until 8 00 wednesday morning for all the hills and mountains of the bay area. Wind gusts will bring drier air, warmer air to the bay area, flowing offshore. And as a result of that, that raises the fire danger. And a wind advisory will be in effect from 5 00 a. M. Tomorrow to 11 00 p. M. Tomorrow. That will be mainly for the Higher Elevations of the north bay with wind gusts ranging from 45 to 65 Miles Per Hour. You can see how the wind gusts will pick up overnight tonight and continue through much of the day tomorrow before they start to i taer off a little bit. With all that, we still have really poor air quality. The next two days will be spare the air days, giving us a string of 23 consecutive spare the air days. Been destroyed or damaged. Firefighters are also making progress on the czu lightning complex fire burning in the santa cruz mountain. It is burned 80,000 acres in santa cruz and san mateo counties, but is now 19 contained. The fire has destroyed 538 homes and other structures, mostly in Santa Cruz County. The good news is there are no new evacuation warnings or orders. The gains made in containing the czu complex have officials feeling optimistic that they will be able to allow more people to return to their properties as early as next week. Jesse gary has details on that. He joins us live this afternoon from downtown felton. Reporter good afternoon. With containment growing by about 5 every couple of days, officials are now working to take the teeth out of this fire by burning potential fuel before it can go up in flames. And im really worried that if San Francisco does not catch up on all of the Housing Demand created by all the jobs that have been created in your city, its going to deeply impact my neighbors and push folks out here. You cant find a twobedroom apartment for less than 3,000 a month. Every year that goes by the area Median Income for San Mateo County goes up and up as more of our residents are displaced. It is directly a result of not building enough marketrate housing in San Francisco where the jobs are. 75,000 san mateo residents commute to your city every day in normal times. Im sure that similarly large numbers commute from the east bay as well. It is crucial that you make space to allow these folks to be able to live in your city.
