During his Covid-19 update, Emergency Management Director Tom Stutzman said that coronavirus-related numbers are going in the right direction, but the pace needs to pick up when it comes to getting people vaccinated. Stutzman said that Indiana County is lagging behind compared with neighboring counties concerning the total number of people getting vaccinated.
Stutzman said that the number of vaccines being made available is increasing, as is the number of locations where people can get vaccine.
As far as vaccine hesitancy goes, County Commissioner Sherene Hess said that it was important that people can get vaccinated so that things can return to normal.
