(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has come under severe criticism on social media after his claim that a “transparent primary election” returned Sen. Andy Uba as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State. The African Examiner recalls that Uba was declared winner of the APC governorship primary in Anambra in the early hours of Sunday by Gov Abiodun, who presided over the election panel. Abiodun stated that Uba polled 230,201 of the 348,490 total votes cast, to defeat 13 other aspirants.
