Settlement Canyon Reservoir will officially reopen Tuesday after a deputy drowned in its waters three weeks ago, according to the Settlement Canyon Irrigation Company.
The family of the 20-year-old deputy who died saving a young woman after they fell through ice at a Tooele County reservoir is speaking for the first time.
The ice gave way plunging both into the freezing water, but the young dad was able to grab hold of the woman s legs and push her to safety on the bank before sinking back into the reservoir.
