they need to do the proper training and they need to follow the safety management system which is in placen of every vessel. still trying find out what the training level was and feed it into the calculation whether or not they made the right calls at the right time. so the big question is obviously now, when we re hearing about the captain he did make it off. crew members did make it off obviously so many passengers did not. the question is, do you think the captain should go down with the ship? answer that question by going to facebook.com/newday. tell us what you think right there. kate? coming up next on new day, four emergency transmitters on flight 370. not a single one went off. did they all fail when the plane crashed into the water or does that suggest something else? we ll examine that next. salesperson #1: so, again, throwing in the $1,000 fuel reward card is really what makes it like two deals in one. salesperson #2: actually, getting a great car with 42 highway miles
right? and that s going to be one of the continuing problems here. and they did not. many of the families, they don t believe that this plane is gone. they don t believe that all is lost and yet they re just losing more and more confidence in the investigation. that can t be good. all right. so, shawn, the bluefin, tenth session. okay? now, i have a source on the military intelligence side. he says that he believes that they are being pushed to search too much beyond the capabilities of the area as they understand it. do you believe that that may be what s going on here is that they re being forced to show progress instead taking the time to think about what to do? well, you know, i m not really sure we have any evidence of that. i think what we have to be very mindful of is that very larch area we re searching, right? and still some area that sun searched. two thirds of the way through this primary area. so, you know, until we get every
cause. and it s absolutely astounding to me that they haven t been willing to release that data. what is so confidential about the data sets that a third-party set of people couldn t come in and make new calculations on them because, clearly, the calculations they ve been making so far are wrong. they re obviously wrong because the plane has not been found there. so, you know, once bitten, twice shy. we want to go back and have a little more control put into the situation. you are going to keep the pressure on and hopefully continue to come on and talk with us about the process and the answers you guys are seeking. sarah, thank you very much as always for your time. chris? let s take a little break here. coming up on new day, the ferry disaster in south korea is raising new questions about u.s. ferries. could this happen here? would the outcome be the same? we have answers from someone who knows, coming up.
