Keep Eureka Beautiful volunteers Kimberly Kiesling, Ed Olsgard and Elliott Dabill planted a strawberry tree in Kate Lang-Salazar’s yard this past Saturday. Fifteen volunteers worked through the rain to plant street trees over the weekend.
A dance featuring live music and a “great floor” takes place Mondays from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, 4328 Campton Road, Eureka. Admission is $9.
Trip-goers may see brown pelicans diving for fish, shorebird murmurations over the bay, bill diversity of Pacific Coast shorebirds and migratory terrestrial species returning for the winter.
