1/1 The sickening off-duty activities of a PCSO have shocked and appalled his colleagues, West Yorkshire Police said today. The Force spoke out after a Neighbourhood Policing Team officer was jailed this afternoon for two years after a jury convicted him of distributing an indecent image of a child and storing hundreds more on his phone. Jonathan Plummer, 35, a Police Community Support Officer with West Yorkshire Police, was today found guilty of all seven charges against him following a trial at Leeds Crown Court. After the case, West Yorkshire Police said Plummer was suspended from duty at point of arrest in August 2018 and misconduct proceedings will now be commenced. ....

Police A FORMER West Yorkshire Police staff member has been given a community order after admitting possession of indecent images of children. Carl Hardcastle, 57, appeared at Leeds Crown Court today where he was given a two year community order. This will include undertaking a programme for sexual offenders. Hardcastle worked in Protective Services Crime but has since resigned from the force. Detective Constable Elkie Gardner of West Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards Directorate, said: “I hope this prosecution demonstrates that it doesn’t matter who you are, if you are found to be in possession of indecent images of children, we will investigate and take action against you. ....
