The Jefferson City Lady Jays scored the first 16 points Tuesday night against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers and never looked back, picking up a 69-29 Central Missouri Activities Conference victory at Fleming Fieldhouse. With a conference title as a goal for the season, starting out with a win in their first CMAC game is a good step for the Lady Jays.
At the half, it looked like an easy win. In the final minute, it was anything but that. “It was stressful,” Capital City coach Ashley Agee said Tuesday night after the Lady Cavaliers held off the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers 68-60 in Central Missouri Activities Conference action at Capital City High School. “But we came out and got a win. I’m proud of them.”
