Its tuesday 19th december. Im ben brown. Welcome to bbc newsroom live. The royal navys new £3 billion Aircraft Carrier, hms Queen Elizabeth, is leaking. The navys future flagship, which was commissioned by the queen earlier this month, has a problem with one of its propeller shafts. Our defence correspondent Jonathan Beale reports. Earlier this month, amid much fanfare, the royal navys largest, most expensive warship was being commissioned into service by the queen. I name this ship Queen Elizabeth. Hailed as the most powerful capable warship ever to raise the white ensign. But what the navy did not say at the time was that she was leaking. According to the sun newspaper, a fault with a seal around one of the ships propeller shafts has left her taking on up to 200 litres of water every hour. The problem was first identified during her sea trials earlier this year. A royal Navy Spokesman insisted the fault was now scheduled for repair and that it would not prevent the 65,000 tonne wars
