A Schuylkill County man is being confirmed as one of five people who died during the riot at the U.S. Capitol. Benjamin Phillips, of Ringtown, died from a medical emergency during the protests. Meanwhile, there are also about a dozen Pennsylvanians who were arrested during the riot. The charges they face include curfew violations as well as unlawful entry and weapons possession.

Bethlehem man wanted on homicide charge in fatal pedestrian crash, police say

Isaac Ricki Resto, no street address given, was driving and struck 46-year-old Eliezer Montano-Lopez at 7:28 p.m. at Hanover Avenue and East Linden Street in Allentown, police said Thursday.
Resto then fled and was not in custody as of Thursday, according to police.
Montano-Lopez died from his injuries at 10:55 p.m. at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office reported.
After an investigation, Resto is also being charged accidents involving death or personal injury, accident involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, duty to give information and render aid, and immediate notice of accident to police department, according to a news release from Allentown police.
