(Shutterstock) By Eli Walsh, Bay City News Foundation SONOMA COUNTY, CA Sonoma County administered its 400,000th coronavirus vaccine dose this week, equating to roughly 60 percent of eligible residents having received at least one dose. At least one vaccine dose has been administered to 246,681 county residents who are age 16 or older, county officials said Tuesday. Of those, 165,460 residents are fully vaccinated, roughly 40 percent of the eligible population in the county. All our hard work is paying off in the growing number of county residents who are now fully vaccinated, county Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase said. We are moving closer to achieving herd immunity, which is a direct result of vaccinations and our residents taking care of one another. ....

Counties that are in the red, orange and yellow tiers will be allowed to resume indoor live events and performances with capacity caps ranging from 10 to 50 percent, according to the California Department of Public Health. Capacity caps will change depending on the tier in which a county sits as well as whether a venue requires all attendees to be tested or show proof of full vaccination before entering. ....

Breweries, wineries and distilleries have been allowed to operate under restaurant guidance since last year, provided that they provide meals with alcoholic beverages.
