Memory killer cells may improve melanoma patients chances of survival: Study

Solna, June 4: Long-lasting killer cells are present in our skin and act as a defence against intruders. Researchers from Denmark s University of Copenhagen and Sweden s Karolinska Institutet have now discovered how these cells are formed and demonstrated that higher concentrations of memory killer cells in tumour tissue are associated with a higher survival probability for melanoma patients.
