Today on Sekulow, we discussed yesterday’s unacceptable events in Washington, DC and how President Trump has now called for an “orderly transition” on January 20th. The riots, violence, and vandalization of the U.S. Capitol yesterday was despicable. It was illegal, and it hindered the chambers from conducting their constitutionally mandated duty. That is unacceptable in our constitutional republic. Ultimately the events led to a much later Electoral College certification process. The end result of that certification went pretty much the way they expected. There were some challenges but only two due to the lateness of the hour and the delay caused by the rioting at the Capitol. Arizona was the first state challenged and then once that started, the rioting began. ....
