Grinnell will not cut student org budget, publications still at risk, statement says

Grinnell College will not reduce overall funds available to student organizations, which includes student publications, for the 2024-25 academic year, according to a statement released by the College on Tuesday, April 23.  The statement did not clarify if student publications will be able to draw sufficient funds from the overall student organization budget to fund.

SPARC publication printing in the air as budget narratives vary

Op-Ed: The importance of print

It is a shame that Grinnell College is considering slashing the print and radio budget next year, effectively terminating its print products.  In a time when newspapers across the country are still grappling with the digital era, small colleges like Grinnell appear to be one of the remaining havens where print news has thrived.
