About coming here on my first day was how incredible i know this board of supervisors is, and will be. I have worked with most of you in some capacity, some of you i have served. We have served together for four years, supervisor if you are and i. Supervisor walton and i also serve on the school board. Ive had the opportunity to work with each and every one of you. I have such tremendous respect for your track records of service, and echoing the comments of supervisor peskin, i think what is important is where we go from here, and the work we will need to get done together. I especially want to recognize supervisor yee who i can see over there. I actually followed him on the school board, and i am a huge admirer of your work, of your tireless advocacy for children and families in our city, and for your work in our schools in particular. I am excited to partner with you , if you end up becoming the board president , i would be honored to serve with you, and to support you as our preside

Like any decent supervisor im convinced that my district is the best in San Francisco from glen canyon to Mission Delores to diamond heights, where harvey milk made civil rights history and the neighborhood that gave proposition c more votes than any other district in San Francisco. Supervisor haney law. Im very excited to be here and grateful to have my family literally right in front of me witnessing this conversation. My grandparents, my mom, my little brother, who keeps on looking at me like what is going on right now . They were not expecting this. At the school board, you just rotate presidencies. This is a new process for us. I im super excited to be joined as my seatmate here, a little closer than normal, supervisor walton, i think weve decided well just keep this going right here and fill a buddy seat, but one of the things that i most excited about, and when i was elected, what made me optimistic about coming here on my first day was how incredible i know this board of supervisors is, and will be. I will be brief because i know that many of the family members who have been here, including my own, and just as they, thank you so much to the people of district six for electing me, as i said in my prior comments, i am just so honored and excited to be here. It is a long process with all of the people who have run for office. Is a little surreal to be sitting in this chair. It is surreal to have my grandmother in front of me the entire time. I want to thank my family who are here, my grandparents who have lived in San Francisco as long as ive been alive, and constituents of yours, president yee. They really taught me a lot about this city. A belief in what is capable in San Francisco, and also a commitment for Public Services.
