Frankfort-Elberta Area Schools Install AED Kit At Lockhart Field May 10, 2021 Frankfort-Elberta Area Schools have finished installing a new AED kit at Lockhart Field. The AED kit will be ready and accessible during football, baseball and softball games should the need ever arise. The school received the kit after applying for a grant from the Wes Leonard Heart Foundation. Wes Leonard was a student athlete that collapsed and died after scoring a game winning basketball shot. In 2019, Frankfort saw a student suffer a seizure while practicing cheerleading on the sidelines of a football game. Frankfort’s Athletic Director hopes this device will keep them prepared for whatever emergency might occur in the future. ....
