Tuesday night, defeating challenger Rob Nanfro for Group Seat 2. With all precincts reporting, Tinsley led Nanfro with 70 percent of the vote, which election officials are expected to certify this week. Tinsley and Nanfro vied to fill to the remaining year of former council member Maria Marino s term. Marino resigned from the council after being elected to the Palm Beach County Commission in November. A longtime Palm Beach County resident and a city resident since 2003, Tinsley served on the council from 2010 to 2017, leaving because of city term limits. She was appointed mayor of Palm Beach Gardens in 2016. Seeking a return to politics, Tinsley, 52, touted her experience and history as a consensus builder. Her return comes as the city is poised to lose three longtime council members in the next two years. ....
