Due to the extreme weather conditions in El Paso, the City opened up its community centers to offer citizens relief from either the extreme heat or the extreme cold. The current cold snap El Paso was anticipating since last week, prompted the City to open up warming centers for citizens to keep warm. However, the snow fell and the community centers remained empty. According to PowerOutage.us, about 2.6 million customers in Texas are currently without power in nearly every part of the state.
