Veteran Nollywood actor Bruno Iwuoha dies at 68

Veteran Nollywood actor, Bruno Iwuoha, has died on Saturday at the age of 68, after a prolonged battle with diabetes.
A statement signed by the Director of Communications, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Monalisa Chinda Coker, reads, “It is on a sad note that we announce the passing away of our elder colleague and active member of AGN Abuja, Bruno Obinna Iwuoha.
“He died in the early hours of this morning (10/04/2021) after a prolonged battle with diabetes.

Fans of popular actor, Ernest Asuzu, on Wednesday, took to social media to slam practitioners in the Nigerian movie industry and particularly, the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, following the sudden death of the actor.
Asuzu succumbed to death on Tuesday after many years of battling depression and stroke. He was 37.
His wife, Jennifer, who announced his demise, said the actor died after he slumped and did not regain consciousness.
Also, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Mr. Emeka Rollas, confirmed Asuzu’s demise on his Instagram page.
“On a sad note, we announce the demise of our member and colleague, Ernest Asuzu, who passed on yesterday, Tuesday, January 26.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) is set to hold a health workshop for its members following growing cases of deaths in the industry. This was disclosed in an address by the AGN’s National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas.
In the statement made available to The Punch titled, “End Of The Year Message By The President Of Actors Guild Of Nigeria”, Rollas lamented the recent deaths of late legendary director and filmmaker, Chico Ejiro and National PRO, in Government of National Unity, Late Frank Dallas.
“The increase in the death of our major practitioners arising from sudden death is getting to an alarming rate,” he said.
