TOP travel companies have been reporting huge surges in holiday bookings abroad following the Prime Minister s lockdown announcement on Monday.
TUI, Travel Republic and Jet2 are just some of the big names who have seen spikes in sales for May 17 onwards, when foreign travel may resume.

TUI reported an overnight spike in sales for Greece, Spain and Turkey from July onwards after the PM announcement, with bookings up 500 per cent.
Travel Republic has seen bookings for travel later in 2021 double in just 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Jet2 and Jet2Holidays report a 1,000 per cent increase in bookings following the exit roadmap announcement, with Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey top of list.
