Edward River Council’s annual tree planting subsidy will commence next week with over 50 varieties of plants available to eligible residents.
Aimed at increasing native vegetation in the Edward River Council region, local ratepayers on properties one hectare and over are welcome to apply.
“This year we have the support of Ricegrowers Association through Local Land Services and Landcare NSW who have contributed $1500 to the program,” Edward River Council mayor Norm Brennan said.
“Their support has allowed us to offer optional cardboard tree guards for just 30 cents each, rather than the normal 55 cents each.” ....
