Faded black-and-white photos of over 100 Korean War veterans will be restored as part of a plan by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (MPVA) to transform the monochrome pictures to color on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Korean Armistice Agreement.
Until the U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan this summer, this was estimated to be the largest wartime evacuation of civilians undertaken by the U.S. military, and it dramatically affected the lives of at least a million Koreans today.
