By all accounts, Dr. Rochelle Walensky is a fierce advocate and an empathetic scientist. But C.D.C. advice must be better attuned to the real world, critics say.
CDC head Rochelle Walensky has officially declared racism to be “a serious public health threat,” which suggests her agency could soon be planning to roll out a “vaccine” to fight it.
After fake crying during a Zoom meeting about how scary the Chinese virus is to her, Walensky is now shifting gears to highlight the “disproportionate impact” of Chinese germs on “communities of color.”
“The disparities seen over the past year were not a result of Covid-19,” Walensky claims.
“Instead, the pandemic illuminated inequities that have existed for generations and revealed for all of America a known, but often unaddressed, epidemic impacting public health: racism.”
