This week s Edge Dev build brings the Password Monitor to everyone Apr 13, 2021 17:00 EDT with 0 comments Microsoft has released its weekly build of the Edge browsers for users running the Dev channel version of the browser. This update brings the browser version to 91.0.852.0, and it includes a handful of significant additions this time around. The new features include the completed rollout of the Password Monitor feature, which should now be available to everyone in the Dev channel. The Rebates feature for shopping online has also completed its rollout and is now enabled by default. Here s everything that s new: Added the ability to open the History, Favorites, Downloads, etc. management pages by middle-clicking or ctrl+clicking their respective buttons on the toolbar or in the browser’s … menu, or by using the new entry in both of their respective context menus. ....

Unsurprisingly, there s nothing particularly wild that s new. In fact, all of the features seem pretty minor. For example, you can now select and delete multiple passwords at the same time in the password manager, and there s a new message that says that Vertical Tabs can t be collapsed when there are IE Mode tabs open. Added the ability to quickly toggle between two tabs on Mac via a keyboard shortcut. Note that this is already available on Windows via Edge’s tab integration into the Alt+Tab switcher. ....

Edge Dev gets its first Chromium 91 build with an improved reading mode Mar 16, 2021 14:22 EDT with 2 comments As it usually does on Tuesdays, Microsoft has released a new build of the Chromium-based Edge browser to users testing it in the Dev channel. Just as it promised last week, this is the first release based on Chromium 91, and it carries build number 91.0.825.0. Builds that jump to a new Chromium version often don t include a ton of new additions, but there are some notable improvements in this release. For instance, Edge s Immersive Reader will now work better on Wikipedia, with support for the built-in table of contents. In fact, that s the last SKU of Windows 10 version 1703 that was supported at all, so the whole version is being retired. If you re unfamiliar, Windows 10 Team is the version of the OS that runs on Microsoft s Surface Hub collaboration PC. But that was still just for devices with full telemetry enabled, and only in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Belgium, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK. On March 2, that was expanded to all regions except the U.S., still with full telemetry enabled, and then the U.S. got it on March 9. As for when all Surface Hub v1 PCs could get the update, even without full telemetry enabled, that was yesterday, March 15. ....
