AUSTRALIA An Australian animal shelter sheared off a 78-pound fleece from a rescue sheep that had been roaming in the wild for several years, rescuers said.
The overburdened sheep, named Baarack, had been found wandering in the rugged Victorian bushland by a property maintenance man who took it to Edgar s Mission in Lancefield, Victoria, in early February, the shelter said.
In the video filmed by staff at Edgar s Mission on February 5, Baarack struggles to balance himself under the weight of his matted and dirty fleece. This is a good place to be, ole mate, a man is heard telling the sheep.

The UK maintains the vaccine produces a good immune response in all ages.

Choosing a book for a sheep is no easy task. I’m sitting on the floor in front of my bookshelf, assessing the options. Joyce and Melville seem a bit highbrow and esoteric for the average sheep. Maybe The Shepherd’s Life by James Rebanks? A little on-the-nose. Le Carré? Too many trench coats. Inspiration suddenly strikes. I reach for Orwell.
