According to Bobi Wine’s post on his Facebook page, he revealed that Nubian Li is the one giving strength to many people who were arrested on his campaign trail.
“I thank you for remaining strong for the rest of the team. Our comrades who have come out of prison have told me that you have taken leadership of hundreds of our comrades at Kitalya, and done so with grace. They have told me that you are now a counsellor – some comrades come to you at the verge of despair and you encourage them to remain strong and hopeful in the face of impunity, injustice and uncertainty,” he said.
The stark fact is that the National Resistance Movement regime headed by President Yoweri Museveni uses the military as its pillar of strength whenever politically pressed: whether it’s disorder on the floor of parliament, such as during the debate to remove the presidential age limit, or civil action on the street, the army jumps into the fray. In this scheme of things, martial law seems to have taken centre stage and the military court is increasingly drawn upon to settle political disputes by framing charges which, to the less discerning eye, appear to plausibly fall within the jurisdiction of the military courts.

At least 46 supporters and campaign team members of National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi were on Thursday evening finally released after reappearing before Masaka Chief Magistrate Charles Yeteise.
The accused were granted bail on Monday but remained in prison where they were reportedly being guarded by armed soldiers, according to their lawyers.
There have been attempts by NUP lawyers to secure their release since Monday, but all the efforts failed despite engaging prison authorities at Masaka Ssaza government Prison.
