N. Smithfield denies outdoor services at local church

NORTH SMITHFIELD – A local church will not be holding outdoor services in North Smithfield during the COVID-19 pandemic after the Town Council declined a requested noise permit on March 1.
The Rev. Martin Capeles Jr. first approached the council in early February about holding services outside Igniting Life Praise and Worship Center on Eddie Dowling Highway. At the time, several councilors said they wanted to look into the issue further and resume the matter at the next meeting. ....
