The Lucas Oil NHRA Southern Nationals, the final NHRA national event at historic Atlanta Dragway, will pay tribute to the rich history of the Pro Stock class thanks to the Southeast Nostalgia Pro Stock Association. The North Carolina-based association will have a strong presence at Atlanta Dragway both on and off the track with exhibition runs and a static pit area display.
Making exhibition runs during the event will be Jeff Rudisill in the Orndorff and Eckman 86 Camaro, Mark Johnson behind the wheel of an original Bob Glidden 88 Thunderbird, Eddie Hall in the Eddie Ratliff Dodge Demon, Rocky Platt in the Houston Platt Dixie Twister ’65 Chevy Nova, Allen Platt in the Georgia Shaker ’64 Comet tribute car, and Ed Eichelberger, who drives the iconic “Grumpy s Toy” 68 Camaro made famous by Pro Stock pioneer Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins.
