Timothy Van Zandt

Timothy Van Zandt is a Professor of Economics (since 1999). Previously he was Dean of Faculty and Research at INSEAD. In the early 1980s, Timothy spent four years in Bogotá, Colombia, as an undergraduate student. In 1989, he obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and from 1990 to 1998, was an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Princeton University. He held several one-year research appointments: a post-doctoral member of AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey (1989-1990); a research fellow at CORE in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium (1993-1994); a visiting research professor at the Center for Mathematical Studies in Economics and Managerial Science at Northwestern University (1998-1999); a visiting professor at the Stern School of Business at New York University (2003-2004); a visiting appointment at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Princeton, New Jersey (2003-2004); and a visiting scholar at the Department of Economics at Columbia Universi ....
