Coloradoâs economy is âfirmly in recovery modeâ from the 2020 recession, according to the Quarterly Business and Economic Indicators report released Aug. 4. And employment recovery in the Colorado Springs and Fort Collins metropolitan statistical areas are leading the state, while employment recovery in the Boulder and Greeley MSAs are lagging.
Prepared by the Leeds Business Research Division (BRD) at CU Boulder in conjunction with Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswoldâs office, the report shows new entity filings posted record gains in the second quarter, increasing 25.7 percent year-over-year.
New entity filings are one of the best indications of employment growth.
