Burley, Davis Named Cedar Hill ISD Teachers of the Year
2020-2021 CHISD Teacher of Year
(CEDAR HILL, TEXAS) Deldrick Burley and Ebonie Davis both grew up in Dallas County – graduating in the top 10 percent of their respective high schools – and had their choice of where they wanted to become professional Mathematics educators.
They both chose Cedar Hill ISD, and earlier this evening, they were named 2020-2021 Cedar Hill ISD Teachers of the Year. They will receive a $1,000 check from the Cedar Hill ISD Education Foundation (CHEF). The 10 Campus Teachers of the Year will receive a $200 check from CHEF.

Under the plan, students, teachers and staff will have a staggered return to their physical classrooms.
Pre-K and cluster students will return Thursday. Kindergarten through fifth grade returns on March 1 and sixth through eighth grade goes back on March 8.
So far, no date has been set for high school students to return.
Ebonie Davis and Tequila Singleton have children in CPS cluster programs. They say in-person learning is crucial to their kids development. She has goals and benchmarks that she needs to attain, Davis said. He would have more of a hands-on type of learning environment, Singleton said.
For families that didn t opt in for in-person learning, there will be another opportunity to opt in before the fourth quarter starts in April.

Twenty-five thousand Chicago Public School teachers will be asked whether the agreement struck between their union and the mayor is good enough for them to return to in-person learning via secret electronic ballot.
