Davenport 400-worker strike ends after 39 days

Davenport, IA- A 39-day strike at a Davenport defense contractor ended on Tuesday. A spokesman for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers told the Des Moines Register that roughly 400 employees will return to work Wednesday at Eaton-Cobham Mission Systems. The spokesperson said that the workers will receive "improved wages", though they did not say how much more the workers will earn. A spokesperson for Eaton said that the new contracts will run for five years, and includes "more vacation, greater scheduling certainty and flexibility, and additional leave." ....
