This is an extra CD included with their original 2004 release One Soul Now covering songs by such artists as bruce springsteen and townes van zant. The songs fit nicely with their style especially when they do fellow canadian neil young s helpless.

The five songs on this very limited release EP are all covers of some of the musicians that have influenced the great Cowboy Junkies. It starts off with a version of Springsteen s Thunder Road. I first heard the Junkies play this live in concert and once I heard the recorded version, I quickly realized it was my favorite cover version of any song ever. They took Springsteen s song of youth and unfulfilled hopes and really brought out the melancholy side of the lyrics. Sure, they skipped a verse, but it is a fantastic rendition. Second comes a Cure so ....
