COVID-19 outbreak confirmed at Eastholme

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has declared a respiratory outbreak of COVID-19 at Eastholme Home for the Aged in Powassan.
The individual who tested positive is a staff member who is self-isolating, Eastholme administrator Odelia Callery confirmed Tuesday.

Callery said all health unit recommendations are being implemented.
“General visitors are not permitted in Eastholme at this time. Eastholme, along with other long-term care facilities, are under lockdown per the provincial guidelines. Essential caregivers are able to enter the home under specific conditions.” ....
