Bruce Meurer had his wood carvings of Eastern Woodland Indians on display during a one day exhibit last Thursday, Oct. 12. He also displayed Indigenous paintings and artifacts he has collected or crafted. All of the items were hand crafted.
Meurer, an expert on indigenous people, also gave a lecture to three different classes from Algona High school that visited that morning.
A first round of work will upgrade lightning protection and branch supports, as needed, add soil nutrients, clear dead or diseased branches from its canopy and lay mulch down.
