Ooltewah Teams Advance At Dizzy Dean Softball Series

Two Ooltewah Youth Association (OYA) softball teams are bringing Scenic City style play to the Dizzy Dean World Series in Southaven, Mississippi. The 6u and 8u OYA teams both had successful days on the diamond and kept advancing through bracket play.
The 6u Ooltewah Unicorn defeated the Hernando Legacy 21-10 to punch their ticket to the championship game on Monday.
Ooltewah turned back the Mississippi State champs thanks to three more home runs today, along with some key defensive plays. The championship game is scheduled for noon CST on Monday against an opponent who will be decided earlier in the day. ....
