Evalyn L. (Peggs) Economy.
CAMDEN Evalyn L. (Peggs) Economy passed away peacefully at the Sussman House in Rockport on March 2, 2021 after a short illness.
Born April 29, 1933 in Cohasset, Massachusetts, she was the middle of three daughters born to Dr. MacDonald and Alice (Douglas) Peggs. After spending her childhood in Massachusetts, she moved to Maine during high school, and graduated from Lawrence High School in Fairfield Class of 52. She remained good friends with several high school friends throughout her life, and was especially close with her sisters, Betsy and Penny.
 
As a young woman, she loved her job doing local broadcasting at WTVL Radio Station in Waterville and drove a sporty Austin Healey Sprite convertible. She met her husband, Terrence Economy, who worked at WRKD in Rockland, on a blind date. They married in 1960 and bought an antique Cape in East Union Village on the mill pond where they raised their son, Mac, and lived for over 30 years. ....
