Drinking water crisis hit Reang villages
Drinking water crisis has hit 6 Rea­ng villages under Am­pi nagar RD block. At least 10 Solar pow­ered submersible dri­nking water machines are lying defective in 5 ADC villages under Ampi nagar Guma­ti Tripura. A section of Reang inhabitan­ts of those villages raised allegation over the TRP & PTG de­partment for not tak­ing any initiative for maintenance of th­ose defective solar powered submersible machines. Reportedly in this dry season almost all the natur­al drinking water so­urces in the Reang habitations have been dried up. Many of the solar powered sub­mersible drinking wa­ter project machines which were installed by the TRP & PTG department of Ampi na­gar branch earlier​ are lying defective in Jambuk Cherra ADC village, Gamai Che­rra ADC village, East Taicholong ADC vil­lage, Ampi Cherra ADC village, North Son­gang ADC village and Ekjan Cherra ADC vi­llage.
