The incident took place at about 2 a.m. April 24, 2023, when police set up surveillance at Eight Mile Road and Rex Avenue following multiple shootings in Eastpointe.
Police say the technology would be used strictly for things like locating stolen vehicles, locating amber alert vehicles and missing people and supporting active investigations.
