A new homewares store has opened in Rockhampton’s East Street.
Reid and Rose has this week opened at 131 East Street, which was formerly tenanted by Bullzye.
It will be the third store for the locally owned brand, which already has a gift store in Allenstown, as well as The Lucky Charm news and gift outlet in Allenstown.
The East Street store stocks fashion, home and gifts from a range of brands including Spode, Portmeriom, Sophie Conram, Nashi Home Resinware, Robert Gordon, Voluspa, La La Land, Koko Black, Poppy Lane and Willow Tree.
It also stocks a range of magazines, newspapers, stationery and cards.
Now, after sitting vacant for years, a new business will take up residency in the space. Rocking Horse Antiques will relocate into the top floor, moving from its Tanby Road store at Yeppoon. With the top floor around 1,000 sqm, it s at least four times the size of the former store. The huge floor space means it might be one of Queensland s biggest antique stores. Business owner Gavin Daniels and store manager Patsy Geddes said the new location would allow them to have a lot more furniture and special items. The high ceilings will also allow them to have very tall pieces of furniture.
