Anything and tonight as the Camden County man is sentenced his family is still maintaining hes innocent. Sporting a new short haircut instead of his long ponytail david d. J. Creato entered a Camden County courtroom for sentencing in the 2015 death of his son threeyearold Brendan Creato of haddon township. Creato made a plea deal with prosecutors weeks before his second trial where was to start in december admitting to aggravated manslaughter. He said he deprived brendan of oxygen but didnt say how. He lied to the police. He lied to his parents. Worst of all he he lied to brendans mother who certainly had a right to know exactly what had happened to her son. Reporter a 14 minute video was played showing dozens of photos from brendans short life. It was silent. Court rules dont permit music. Gunshot wound to the head. Reporter over months after the murder of 64yearold Michael Mcnew bucks County District attorney announced an arrest in this case. Investigators charged 33yearold Jennifer Lynn morrissey with criminal homicide burglary and other charges. Not always mediate when you can catch a killer and in this instance it took a lot of cooperation, collaboration and just good Old Fashioned detective work. Reporter mcnew was found shot to death inside of his home along the Delaware River in Washington Crossing august 8th. The District Attorney confirms mcnew and morrissey lived together since the beginning of january of 2015. According to court documents, he wanted her out of the house and that likely fueled her anger and led to the shooting. News of the murder rattled this close knit community.
