A 25-year-old crew member on board the Diamantina cattle export vessel, which arrived at the East Arm Wharf from Indonesia last night, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Strict protocols are in place for any ships arriving into the Northern Territory.
These protocols were put in place earlier this year to protect vital supply chains while keeping the community safe.
The crew member was tested on board the vessel upon arrival into Darwin and is now in the care of Royal Darwin Hospital (RDH) in isolation. He did not leave the ship prior to being admitted to RDH. ....

A 25-year-old man from a recently docked international cattle export ship has tested positive for coronavirus in the Northern Territory.
Health authorities say the Diamantina livestock carrier arrived in Darwin s East Arm Wharf from Indonesia on Sunday night.
The man was tested for coronavirus upon arrival in the city and returned a positive result.
He has been taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital, where he remains in isolation. ....
