Well, its a very good day to be reminded of what the founding of america really means, and to really consider the things of which are founders really put this american experiment together, and literally change the course of history. I think about, you know, my grandparents and great grandparents they came to this country for Economic Opportunity and religious freedom, and i think about the many ways also that we have sort of forgotten about the importance of the constitution and our founding documents. And its a really good time to refocus and Pay Attention again to what they really mean and what you they mean for our fut. Fantastic. And throughout the country today we are in late september. Because of a hung jury Derick Almena my face another trial but i could backfire for the prosecution. Theyre not going to have a good guy and a bad guy. Reporter max harris was a bit of manslaughter. I think youre looking at less of a chance of success and more. Reporter harris is now enjoying his first full day of freedom. Its a compute complete change of roles for him. Going to these loving arms and people giving him smiles and being able to talk with whoever he wants to talk with. Reporter a new trial will be costly, financially and emotionally. Its a mistake for them to retry this case. Its throwing good money after bad it is not going to make anything better. The attention now turns to city lawsuits, thats why it was set for next year. Mary alexander says she is still moving forward to prove negligence. Some people would say in time for retribution. Lets go after the people that are partially responsible. The breakdown might be. Well, lauren, i think it actually is sort of acrosstheboard. It really starts with k12 education and the fact that for too many young people cannot be getting to think about whats next intellect high school and that frankly is i think too late. I believe we have to start exposing students as early as Early Middle School to a variety of opportunities and pathways, and giving them the opportunity to hear from and experience what some of those things might be like to give it a broader view from what might come after high school. K12 in general is simply walled off into many ways from higher ed, from a traditional fouryear experience or a Community College or a career and technical experience. And we need to really be intentional about taking those walls down, taking those silos down. And for business in particular, i think theres been a giant silo between business and education for too long. And im seeing now many places where the communities had really come togeth
