(WSFA) - A multi-county crime spree that started in Wetumpka ended in an officer-involved shooting in Escambia County, according to law enforcement. Wetumpka Assistant Police Chief Ed Reeves says a man stole a Nissan Armada at the Pace Car Gas Station nearly Highway 231 in Wetumpka on Thursday night. The SUV was parked at the gas station with the keys and an assault rifle inside. Greenville Police Chief Justin Lovvorn said the suspect then drove the Armada to Evergreen, abandoned the vehicle and stole another vehicle there at gunpoint. That car was driven to Greenville where the suspect committed two additional carjackings, Lovvorn said. ....
