I think he is right, it s a low point. It depends on how he responds to acting consistent with international norms, which in many cases he has not. Phil mattingly joins us live from brussels. The wild west masking up and states and businesses are all scrambling to address the new cdc guidance that fully vaccinated people don t have to wear a mask anymore, not outdoors and indoors. The guidance results in a lot of confusions. Today president biden doing little to clear up the confusion. As i said last week some people may want to continue to wear a mask even if they are fully vaccinated. That s a decision they can make. Some businesses may want to continue requiring wearing masks. Whole depot and whole foods have not updated their mask policy. Now, nobody seems to know and it seems different even within a given store, nobody is sure and there is a lot of confusion. While 20 states plus the district of columbia drops mask rules, it is confusing. Take maryland, the state is saying okay, you can take the masks off. The city of baltimore, the biggest city in the state is not. Some
off. paul eisenberg is here but we begin with congressional correspondent jacqui heinrich, live outside of the supreme court for us. we just wrapped up a press conference with the bill sponsors and we asked about house speaker nancy pelosi saying she has no plans to bring this bill to the floor while the president s commission is still studying the very proposal. they said they are really not surprised at that answer but they expressed faith that pelosi and others will change their minds and come along as more destructive decisions come down. in fact one of the bill sponsors said today they laid blame on the supreme court for the january 6th insurrection saying this supreme court has been dismantling democracy allowing dark money in politics, gutting voting rights and paving the way for racist voters suppression and help put donald trump in the white house. they reject the assertion that they are packing the court in response. it will enable us to do justice and rectify
