Right now. The water is still flowing at great falls, but is surrounded by something you dont usually see on the potomac ice. Down the river in the district, there is more eyes but cold water here means cold water in the d c areas aging pipes. Big problems. The issue on wisconsin avenue is one of a heck of a lot of water main breaks. Year, 10 a dayte be a lot. But right now, the utilities dealing with 70. That is more than they can handle, so they have to prioritize. We have a major thoroughfare shutdown. This place is gridlocked all the time, so it is really bad. I have to call my wife. Few weeksgot bad a ago when the polar vortex it. And then there was a break and now it terrible again. Weve never been to that one. The icy water that is the root cause of the problem is pretty. In the summer, you often see bubbles and stuff around the edges of the rock, but now it is ice and icicles. But if you see ice like this form on the potomac, you can bet its going to cause a lot of issues elsew
