Once again, we are getting word here at cnn that there s some members of moammar gadhafi s inner circle who have been reaching out to senior officials here in the united states. i want to go to the senior producer at the state department, elyse labbot. e-lise, what are you hearing? we re hearing moammar s foreign minister, brother-in-law swrn reaching out to the state department not only to the u.s. side but also other arab officials around the region. but the question is, what are they looking for? secretary of state hillary clinton the other day gave an interview to abc news and she kind of suggested that colonel gadhafi was exploring his options saying, how do i get out of this? what we re hearing is he s digging in.
