Chris Goddard has been breeding Angus since 2001 at Hilldene, near Seymour, under the name Dysart Angus. Named after the nearby Dysart Rd and Dysart Siding, Mr Goddard said he wasn’t sure why his little patch near Seymour happened to carry the name of Dysart. “Dysart is a place in Scotland. I’m not sure what the connection is but it’s actually not too far from where my mother was born,” Mr Goddard said. ....

When World War II broke out in September 1939, the Australian Military Force s Third Infantry Division quickly mobilised and by October 10 there were 6000 soldiers from the division in camp at Seymour and Trawool. ....
